Engineering Services

The Engineering Department plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of Kadoma’s essential infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient, and sustainable built environment for all residents. This department oversees the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of roads, bridges, storm water drainage systems, and other critical infrastructure, while also ensuring the provision of clean and safe water supplies and the effective management of wastewater and sanitation systems. Furthermore, the Engineering Department is responsible for reviewing and approving building plans to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, managing urban planning and development, and developing and implementing emergency response plans for natural disasters and other emergencies. Additionally, the department plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable development practices.

Sewer Section
Ensures wastewater is safely collected and conveyed through a well-maintained sewer network, protecting public health and the environment.
Water
Manages water treatment, supply, and distribution systems to provide reliable access to clean and safe water across the city.
Electrical Power
Oversees power distribution, maintenance, and street lighting to ensure consistent energy supply for municipal services.
Motor Mechanics
Maintains and repairs municipal vehicles and equipment to keep essential services running efficiently.
Building Inspectorate
Ensures compliance with construction standards through inspections, approvals, and enforcement of building regulations.
Town Planning
Guides land use, zoning, and development to support structured and sustainable urban growth.
